Get to know the CSRO Team

Michael Dorman, Executive Director

I have served on the Board of Directors for the CSRO for over 10 years now and am pleased to have increased my role with the organization to the Executive Director in early 2011. In this new role, I will provide strategic leadership while developing a long term plan that will enhance short term value and long term success in our programs and goals. I look forward to this new endeavor and hope that you will follow the CSRO as it continues down the path to finding a cure for paralysis.

Jennifer Shannon, General Manager

I joined the CSRO in August, 2000 as an Administrative Assistant, and after returning to the office from maternity/parental leave in April, 2007, I took on an expanded role as the General Manager, managing day to day operations of the organization.

I graduated with honours from Seneca College in the Legal Assistant Diploma Program, and I am currently working towards a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation.

I am proud to be a part of the CSRO team, who all work together in helping to raise funds to fulfill our mandate; funding research to find a cure for paralysis!

Ashleigh Macaskill, Event & Program Administrator

I joined the CSRO Team in 2009 as an intern for the summer, eager to gain experience in the sports and event planning field. I continued to work part time for the CSRO until I finished my post graduate studies in Sports and Event Marketing and Planning at George Brown College. Upon completion of my studies, in January of 2010, I came on board with the CSRO team full time.

The CSRO interests me because it allows me to take my passion for hockey, my enthusiasm for event planning, and my interest in charity work and combine them into a very rewarding job. Not only am I involved in planning events that raise money for spinal cure research but I am part of a team who will one day make a difference for every person living with a spinal cord injury in Canada.
