Lighthouse Concert to Benefit the CSRO

Lighthouse Concert to Benefit the CSRO on Wednesday April 4, 2012!

On behalf of CSRO, I am excited to inform you of our latest fundraising endeavor. Canadian rock legends ‘Lighthouse’ will be performing at Richmond Hill Centre for Performing Arts, Wednesday April 4th, 2012. Lighthouse was Canada’s group of the year, 1972, 73, and 74 (http://www.lighthouserockson.com), and authors of such iconic hits as “Sunny Days” and “One Fine Morning” (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=msprB_o2eMk). They will perform along with special opening guest Mena Hardy (http://www.menahardy.com), in an effort to benefit the Canadian Spinal Research Organization, dedicated towards funding targeted research towards finding a cure for paralysis resulting from spinal cord injury.’

The three original members from Lighthouse, Skip Prokop, Ralph Cole, and Paul Hoffert participated in the 20th Anniversary, The Dominion Spinal Tap Charity Bonspiel, last February, curling in the celebrity wheelchair challenge. They’re all great guys, very giving of their time, since then, I’ve had the pleasure of seeing them play live twice, including at the London Brier, and they put on a fantastic show!!! Guaranteed, if you’re not too familiar w/ the band, you’ll recognize at least 10-12 of their songs. Richmond Hill Centre for Performing Arts is located at 10268 Yonge St [just north of Major Mackenzie Dr], and is an intimate venue, built for sound quality.

Tickets are now available, through the R.H. Centre box office http://www.rhcentre.ca/buy-ticket.php?action=500125. Also available are VIP seats that include an after-party meet-and-greet with the band.

Thank you for your consideration, and I hope to see at the show!!

Sincerely,

Ryan Durham,
CSRO Ambassador
