THE AFTER AND BEYOND SPINAL CORD INJURY
JOURNAL
Part
of the mandate of the CSRO and ASRO is to help educate and inform
the general public about spinal cord injuries. One of the resources
that we are using to do this is the After and
Beyond® Spinal Cord Injury Journal.
The After and Beyond® Spinal
Cord Injury Journal is a guide to help you sort your way through the
early part of your injury. The goal is to make it easier for you to understand
what is happening and to voice your concerns, needs and wishes.
The Journal will be your guide through acute care and on to rehabilitation. It
will:
- Provide basic information
about spinal cord injuries; Explain some of the medical terms you
may hear ; Help you gather information about your injury and your
care and;
- Serve as a link to
the After & Beyond® Spinal Cord Injury Resource
Manual.
The Journal serves as a personal record of events and a place to keep
together information, such as:
- Questions and answers; Concerns,
feelings and experiences; Evidence of progress and;
- Important names and dates,
such as people involved in your case, tests, treatments and results and
future appointments.
Excerpts from the After
and Beyond® Spinal
Cord Injury Journal are provided on this Web site. For a complete
