Partnership Spotlight | The Clinic Network Inc. (TCN) and CSRO

Our Partners are a very special part of the CSRO – and much of what we do can only grow and extend further because of the amazing partnerships we have been fortunate enough to create along the way.

Our Partnership Spotlight is a way to share the many ways we all support each other, in our efforts to educate and connect with all of you.

The Clinic Network Inc. is our newest partner and one we are very excited about.  Through their National network of medical clinics, TCN offers multidisciplinary therapies for patients that suffer from chronic pain and many of the secondary complications that arise from spinal cord injury such as insomnia, spasticity, and neuropathic pain.

“This important strategic relationship contributes to furthering TCN’s presence in offering specialized leading-edge innovations in pain management and harm reduction therapies to the benefit of our CSRO collaborative partners. To that end, we have committed to immediately supporting the CSRO spinal cord-injured community through both access to clinical services and support of research initiatives, including those involving medicinal cannabis as an alternative to traditional opioids” stated Kim Wei, Chief Strategy Officer at TCN.

To launch our partnership, our Chief Development Officer Barry Munro attended and spoke at their Excellence in Pain Management event.  There was a very exciting list of keynote speakers representing key organizations such Ontario Rehab Alliance, the Ontario Brain Injury Association (OBIA), and BridgePoint Financial Services.  You can view the entire day’s presentations by clicking here to visit the TCN website, where they are housing all of the speaker’s presentations:

“We’re pleased to be taking these first steps in a formal collaboration with The Clinic Network” stated Barry Munro, Chief Development Officer at CSRO. “Neuropathic pain is one of the main secondary complications that comes as a result of a spinal cord injury. We are excited about working with TCN and increasing innovation and available services for pain treatment, especially within our spinal cord injury community.”

Pain management is a battle that people with SCI know all too well.  From the descriptions of daily, chronic stabbing sensations of pain that prevent sufferers from participating in daily life, to making it impossible to sustain employment, while it negatively impacts their quality of life.

We hope you take the time to visit the TCN website to learn more about their great work, and their  reach which includes a market-leading clinic platform operating in five Canadian provinces, with 12 multi-disciplinary clinics.   Additionally, they have developed a “Three Pillar” approach to clinical practice and provide an integrated combination of services to patients for pain management.  These Three Pillars include: (i) Chronic Pain and Arthritis Management (ii) Interdisciplinary Rehabilitation and (iii) Medicinal Cannabis (as an alternative to traditional narcotics).

As our partnership progresses we look forward to updating you on future events and news relating to pain management and SCI.
